Readers' Responses...
Hi Michelle:
Thank you for continuing to share some of your personal misadventures
with those of us who like to read occasionally from your web
site. The story of your travel in Wyoming and getting stuck was
very amusing and reminded me of a little adventure we had at home with
my own glasses. I was ill with an upper respiratory infection and slept
on the couch to try to keep my wife from getting sick. It didn't
work, and for my trouble here came this misadventure.
I had left my glasses on the coffee table while I slept and
during the night heard some kind of crunching noise. Turns out
one of our then new puppies was helping himself to a snack....... all I
could find was the destroyed frame and one lens. I didn't find
the second lens until a few days later. Fortunately, it was a
saturday and I was able to get new glasses by going to one store for an
exam and prescription and then to another to have the glasses
made! Good thing my wife was able to drive me around
town. We still have the puppy, now four years old and three
of his litter mates. You can tell we are dog lovers.

So, does this mean the horses
(behind the butte) were laughing their buttes
off????
EVERYONE driving "out west" should ALWAYS carry chains. You can
buy them at
Les Schwab out here - and if you don't use them, they'll take them back
at
full credit in the spring. ![]()
Now, of course, I DO carry chains - but I've gotten stuck in the snow as
well.
So, I guess I'm preaching to
the choir....
Grace and peace,
Douglas
