Good Monday
to you from Beautiful New England. Robert and I have just returned home
from the wild, wild west. Our 2 weeks there were full of new sites and
sightings, cultures, wild life and fabulously friendly people. We are
here to spend some down time with family and enjoy the holiday to the
max. We are eating at my sister's house

A Lesson to Heed
By Yvette
Brooks-James
Take my hand, my child, so you will surely see
An insight lesson into life’s wondrous journey.
That in your own life, you will be bound to learn
There will be things you want, and for yearn.
But the greatest gift you shall ever hope to find
Is within yourself; truthfulness and a heart that’s kind.
Temptation will beckon to live with lies and deceit;
However my child, with the latter, it’s yourself you defeat.
For with truthfulness and kindness you will abound
You’ll be blessed with true friends, who will always be round
To comfort when needed or share your joy at what you achieve’
Just remember to use trust and kindness, and not to deceive.
To live in these times, by these two rules, can indeed be trying
Yet the acts by which you live will be reflected upon your dying
Would you rather be remembered as a person with negative measure?
Or would you
prefer
to have been known in everyone’s life, as a treasure?
