Today is my
birthday. I am spending it with my husband, and once again we are on
the road. In honor of my special day, today we will feature some of my
favorite quotes. These are some of the quotes that make my blood run
faster.
And Jesus said: Love your
enemies, do good to those who hate
you, bless those who curse you,
pray for those who mistreat
you ...
Luke 6:27-38

We declare our right on this
earth...to be a human being,
to be respected as a human
being, to be given the rights of
a human being in this society,
on this earth, in this day,
which we intend to bring into
existence by any means
necessary.
Malcolm X
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Politics is supposed to be the
second oldest profession. I
have come to realize that it
bears a very close resemblance
to the first.
Ronald Reagan
~~~~~~~~~~~
An understanding heart is
everything in a teacher, and cannot
be esteemed highly enough. One
looks back with appreciation
to the brilliant teachers, but
with gratitude to those who
touched our human feeling.
Carl Jung
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's a matter of taking the
side of the weak against the
strong, something the best
people have always done.
Harriet Beecher Stowe
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When our eyes see our hands
doing the work of our hearts,
the circle of Creation is
completed inside us, the doors
of our souls fly open and love
steps forth to heal
everything in sight.
Michael Bridge
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You can make more friends in
two months
by becoming interested in other
people
than you can in two years
by trying to get other people
interested in you.
Dale Carnegie
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mankind must put an end to war,
or war will put an end to
mankind.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The greatest lesson in life is
to know that
even fools are right sometimes.
Sir. Winston Churchill
~~~~~~~~~~~
Never give in, never give in,
never, never, never, never - in nothing,
great or small, large or petty
- never give in except to convictions
of honor and good sense.
Sr. Winston Spencer Churchill
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Courage is contagious. When a
brave man takes a stand, the
spines of others are stiffened.
Rev. Billy Graham
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At first, dreams seem
impossible,
then improbable, and eventually
inevitable.
Christopher Reeves
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Optimism is the faith that
leads to achievement. Nothing can be done
without hope and confidence.
Helen Keller
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
This above all: to thine own
self be true, and it must
follow, as the night the day,
thou canst not then be false
to any man.
William Shakespeare, from Hamlet
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is not enough to have great
qualities. We
should also have the management
of them.
Duc Francois de La Rochefouchaud (1613-1680)
